Recently, Zhang Kuao, President of Alibaba International Station, revealed to the public at the Global Smart Logistics Summit that in the first half of this year, the number of sea freight containers served by Alibaba International Station increased by nearly 200% year-on-year, more than doubling the growth rate compared to last year.

The convenience of online cross-border logistics has also driven the rapid growth of digital foreign trade itself. In May of this year alone, the online foreign trade transaction volume of Alibaba International Station increased by nearly 30% year-on-year.

Data shows that more than 60% of Alibaba International Station small and medium-sized enterprises are currently using the digital logistics services provided by the platform.

According to reports, the international parcel business volume of USPS has decreased. This trend began during the global COVID-19 pandemic and continued to intensify thereafter.

The report points out that the epidemic has caused disruptions and restrictions in the global supply chain, including a reduction in air transportation and interruptions in international postal services. These factors have led to a decrease in international parcels.

In addition, the competition in the e-commerce industry has also to some extent affected USPS's international parcel business. Many consumers prefer cross-border shopping through other platforms and e-commerce giants rather than using traditional international mail services.

According to data released by the Bank of Korea, South Korea's trade terms deteriorated for the 26th consecutive month in May, with export prices falling more than import prices.

Data shows that South Korea's net Terms of trade index of goods in May fell 2.8% year on year, down 0.4% the month before. The index is obtained by dividing the export price index by the import price index. It displays the quantity of imports that can be purchased per unit of export, and a lower number means that the terms of trade are worse.

The decline in May was due to a faster decline in export prices compared to import prices. Data shows that South Korea's export prices decreased by 14.4% year-on-year in May, while import prices decreased by 11.9%. South Korea's exports have been declining for eight consecutive months in May, mainly due to weak demand for semiconductors due to the global economic slowdown.

According to foreign media reports, the Dutch data protection foundation Stichting Data Bescherming Nederland (SDBN) recently took Amazon to court, accusing it of illegally collecting and selling user information. The foundation also requires Amazon to compensate approximately 5 million Dutch citizens who have created their accounts in recent years.

SDBN found that Amazon not only collects user data through its own network platform, but also continuously monitors users' operations and activities on other external websites by illegally placing tracking cookies. SDBN stated that Amazon monitors the browsing behavior of account holders on "hundreds of websites commonly used in the Netherlands".

Even if the user explicitly refuses, it places cookies and collects user personal data. Moreover, Amazon did not provide any explanation for the collection behavior. In addition, Amazon also collects data through numerous third-party mobile applications, such as fitness trackers and apps for children.
