On December 15th, Wan Hai Lines announced that it will collaborate with oNE, a member of Premier Alliance, to launch a second direct service to the Port of Los Angeles (LA), which is expected to take effect in May 2026.
Wan Hai Lines stated that the ports covered by the AP2 route are: Qingdao - Ningbo - Los Angeles - Oakland - Qingdao. Under the current route structure, AP2 offers a direct and fast service from Central and North China to the West Coast of North America.
Also on December 15th, Premier Alliance members ONE, HMM and Yang Ming Marine Transport also announced the update of their 2026 route network.
In the updated 2026 route network, this route is called PS8 (Pacific South 8) and is expected to come into effect in April 2026.
